MBC’s upcoming drama In Your Radiant Season has released its first stills featuring leads Lee Sung Kyung and Chae Jong Hyeop, drawing attention ahead of its premiere.
The drama follows two individuals whose lives and emotional rhythms stand in stark contrast. Sunwoo Chan, played by Chae Jong Hyeop, lives each day with the openness and warmth of an endless summer vacation, while Song Ha Ran, portrayed by Lee Sung Kyung, has shut herself off from the world as though trapped in a long winter.
Lee Sung Kyung stars as Song Ha Ran, the head designer of South Korea’s leading high-end fashion house, Nana Atelier. Scarred by painful experiences from her past, Ha Ran has built a strong emotional barrier around herself. Although she appears composed and flawless on the surface, she is constantly haunted by a fear of loss.
Chae Jong Hyeop takes on the role of Sunwoo Chan, an animator working at Can Animation Studio. Known for his bright and positive energy, Sunwoo Chan brings light to those around him, even as he quietly carries unresolved pain within.
In the newly revealed stills, the actors convey emotional depth through subtle expressions alone. Lee Sung Kyung’s restrained gaze and composed demeanor reflect her character’s loneliness and emotional distance, while Chae Jong Hyeop’s gentle yet focused eyes add warmth and anticipation to the unfolding romance.
Moments where the two characters face one another capture a delicate balance between caution and curiosity, hinting at the emotional journey that lies ahead.
