The television drama Aku no Hana, starring Suzuki Fuku and Ano, has announced its additional cast lineup. Newly confirmed cast members include Nakanishi Aruno of Nogizaka46, Sudo Chihiro, Igashira Manami, Hasegawa Tomoharu, Nakagoshi Noriko, Konno Mahiru, Horibe Keisuke, and Hinagata Akiko.

Aku no Hana is a live-action adaptation of the manga by Oshimi Shuzo. The original work was previously adapted into a feature film in 2019, starring Ito Kentaro and Tamashiro Tina. This television series presents the story once again with a new cast and interpretation.
The drama centers on Kasuga Takao, portrayed by Suzuki Fuku, a high school student who believes he is fundamentally different from his classmates due to his deep attachment to Charles Baudelaire’s poetry collection Les Fleurs du Mal. His world becomes intertwined with that of Nakamura Sawa, played by Ano, a classmate known for her provocative and unsettling behavior, as well as Saeki Nanako, the girl Kasuga secretly admires.
One day, Kasuga makes a grave mistake by stealing Saeki’s gym clothes, an act that is witnessed by Nakamura. She proposes a “contract” in exchange for keeping his secret. As Kasuga becomes increasingly controlled by Nakamura and manipulated by her extreme demands, his sense of self and moral boundaries begin to collapse.
Aku no Hana is scheduled to air in a late-night time slot on TV Tokyo starting April 9.
