Yum Jung Ah and Park Se Wan are currently in discussions to join the upcoming Korean drama adaptation of the bestselling Japanese novel “The Miracles of the Namiya General Store.” On February 11, it was confirmed that both actresses had received casting offers for the project and are reviewing them positively. Their agency stated that Yum Jung Ah is in talks to appear, while Park Se Wan has also received an offer but has not yet made a final decision.

Based on one of Higashino Keigo’s most well-known novels, “The Miracles of the Namiya General Store” tells the story of three thieves who take refuge in an old general store where the past and present mysteriously intersect. As they respond to letters seeking advice, they gradually uncover the secret behind the store’s miracle-like connection—one that becomes deeply intertwined with their own lives.
Kim Hye Yoon and Lee Chae Min are also in talks to take on leading roles, while Moon Sang Min is considering a special appearance. If Yum Jung Ah and Kim Hye Yoon both confirm their participation, it would mark a reunion for the two actresses, who previously portrayed mother and daughter in a widely acclaimed drama.
As a highly anticipated adaptation of a beloved literary work, the project has drawn attention since its early development stages. With discussions underway involving several notable actors, expectations are rising for a thoughtful and emotionally resonant interpretation of the original story.
