A Love Story Sparked by Blind Dates

The romantic drama The Practical Guide to Love continues to explore the complicated journey toward finding true love. The story follows Lee Ui Yeong, portrayed by Han Ji Min, a woman who decides to actively pursue romance by stepping into the world of blind dates.

Through this decision, Lee Ui Yeong meets two very different men: Song Tae Seop, played by Park Sung Hoon, and Shin Ji Su, portrayed by Lee Ki Taek. As their paths intersect with hers, the three characters form a dynamic that gradually evolves into a complicated emotional triangle. Within The Practical Guide to Love, Lee Ui Yeong’s experiences prompt her to reflect on what genuine love truly means.

Two Very Different First Encounters

In earlier episodes of The Practical Guide to Love, Song Tae Seop and Shin Ji Su each appeared as Lee Ui Yeong’s blind date in succession, immediately drawing attention with their contrasting personalities.

Lee Ui Yeong’s meeting with Song Tae Seop happened somewhat unexpectedly. After realizing that the romantic signals she believed she had received from someone else were merely a misunderstanding, she impulsively agreed to go on a blind date. Through the introduction of hotel general manager Eun Jeong Seok, played by Kim Won Hae, she was set up with Song Tae Seop.

Despite the initially awkward situation, the date turned out to be surprisingly comfortable. Having carefully prepared everything from her outfit to possible conversation topics, Lee Ui Yeong found herself able to talk easily with Song Tae Seop. As the conversation flowed, a gentle romantic atmosphere began to develop between them.

A Sudden Turn in the Mood

However, the warm tone of the meeting quickly shifted when Song Tae Seop openly revealed that he was looking for a relationship that could lead to marriage. Because it was her very first blind date, Lee Ui Yeong was caught off guard by his straightforward seriousness.

Feeling somewhat overwhelmed, she ended the meeting sooner than expected. Afterward, Lee Ui Yeong did not receive any follow-up message from Song Tae Seop, leaving the outcome of their meeting uncertain.

A Completely Unexpected Second Date

Shortly after her encounter with Song Tae Seop, Lee Ui Yeong was introduced to another blind date by an acquaintance. The only information she received beforehand was that her date earned a high salary but might not be particularly attractive.

Yet when she arrived, she was greeted by someone entirely different from what she had expected: Shin Ji Su, played by Lee Ki Taek. With his striking appearance, Shin Ji Su immediately caught Lee Ui Yeong’s attention.

Still, the date did not unfold smoothly. Unknown to Lee Ui Yeong at first, Shin Ji Su had actually attended the meeting as a substitute for the original date. His somewhat cynical and occasionally blunt attitude made the atmosphere tense and uncomfortable.

A Subtle Shift in Their Dynamic

As the evening progressed, however, Lee Ui Yeong’s honest and cheerful personality began to spark Shin Ji Su’s curiosity. Even though the conversation had started awkwardly, their interaction gradually developed a new kind of dynamic.

When Lee Ui Yeong eventually expressed her desire to end the date early due to the uncomfortable atmosphere, Shin Ji Su unexpectedly suggested continuing the evening somewhere else. From that moment, his approach toward her became noticeably more proactive.

Despite this sudden change in attitude, Lee Ui Yeong remained cautious. Still remembering his earlier behavior, she dismissed his interest as impulsive and firmly kept her distance.

Who Will Win Her Heart?

From their first encounters, Song Tae Seop and Shin Ji Su stood out for their completely different charms. Song Tae Seop demonstrated a somewhat awkward but sincere personality by honestly expressing his desire for a serious relationship, while Shin Ji Su brought a more unpredictable and playful energy.

Now, both men face their own challenges if they hope to move forward with Lee Ui Yeong. Song Tae Seop must explain why he did not contact her after their first meeting, while Shin Ji Su will need to reveal the truth about why he appeared at the blind date as a substitute.

As The Practical Guide to Love continues, viewers are left wondering which of the two men will take the next step—and whether either of them will ultimately win Lee Ui Yeong’s heart.

The next episode of The Practical Guide to Love will air on March 7 at 10:40 p.m. KST.
