Disney+ has officially unveiled the first poster for its upcoming drama Gold Land, confirming both its premiere date and the tone of a story steeped in desire, tension, and moral conflict. Led by Park Bo Young and Kim Sung Cheol, Gold Land introduces a suspense-driven narrative where ordinary lives are reshaped by extraordinary temptation.

At the center of Gold Land is Kim Hee Joo, portrayed by Park Bo Young, a security screening officer at an international airport. Her life takes a drastic turn when she unexpectedly comes into possession of gold bars connected to an illegal smuggling operation. What begins as an accidental entanglement soon evolves into a dangerous situation, as those around her are gradually consumed by greed and betrayal. As the stakes rise, Hee Joo is not only forced to confront external threats but also her own growing desire to keep the gold, placing her at the heart of a psychological and moral struggle in Gold Land.
Opposite her, Kim Sung Cheol plays Jang Wook, also known as Woo Gi, a debt collector operating on the fringes of a loan shark organization. His character adds another layer of tension to Gold Land, embodying the harsh realities of a world where survival often comes at a cost. As Kim Hee Joo and Jang Wook’s paths intersect, the drama builds toward a confrontation shaped by conflicting motives and hidden intentions.

The newly released poster for Gold Land reinforces the drama’s central themes through striking visual contrast. A glowing pile of gold bars lies buried deep within a dark mine, radiating an intense light that symbolizes desire emerging from within darkness. The tagline, “Dazzling desire blooming in the darkness,” underscores the critical choices faced by the characters as they navigate extreme circumstances. Through this imagery, Gold Land hints at a narrative where temptation is both illuminating and destructive.
With its combination of suspense, character-driven conflict, and symbolic storytelling, Gold Land positions itself as a drama that explores the boundaries between necessity and greed. Gold Land will premiere its first two episodes on April 29, followed by the release of two new episodes each week, for a total of 10 episodes.
