MBC’s Perfect Crown has released a new behind-the-scenes video for episode 2, offering a closer look at the on-set dynamic between its cast, led by IU and Byeon Woo Seok.
The video opens with IU sharing her experience preparing for an archery scene. She candidly admits feeling challenged after hearing that her co-stars, including Byeon Woo Seok and Noh Sang Hyun, were already skilled. Motivated by this, she put in extra effort to improve. Maintaining a lighthearted tone, IU jokingly claims she practiced for three years before quickly correcting herself, revealing it was actually only a few sessions.

Meanwhile, Byeon Woo Seok reflects on his own preparation, noting that he had prior experience with horseback riding from a previous historical drama. He humorously adds that this was his first time working with a white horse, and just as he began to grow familiar with it, filming for the scene had already wrapped.
The behind-the-scenes footage also captures the relaxed and playful atmosphere between the actors. During a break, IU is seen taking photos of Byeon Woo Seok, mentioning they are for social media. The two then pose together for selfies at a theater set, highlighting their easygoing chemistry off camera.
Actor Heo Nam Jun makes a special appearance in the episode as Seong Hui Ju’s blind date. After filming, he jokingly remarks that he felt “a little hurt,” playfully reacting to his character’s interaction with IU’s role. He also expressed appreciation for the welcoming and considerate environment on set, noting that it made the filming process more comfortable.
The newly released footage not only showcases the actors’ preparation for their roles but also emphasizes the friendly and collaborative atmosphere behind the production, adding another layer of charm to Perfect Crown.
