The court trial involving the man accused of breaking into actress and singer Nana’s home and committing robbery-related violence is continuing as new hearings move forward in South Korea.
According to legal sources, the First Criminal Division of the Namyangju Branch of the Uijeongbu District Court held another hearing on May 12 involving a man in his 30s, identified only as “A.” The suspect remains detained while standing trial on charges related to robbery resulting in injury.
During the latest proceedings, the court reportedly focused on witness questioning connected to medical injury documentation submitted for both Nana and her mother following the incident.

The case dates back to November of last year, when A allegedly broke into Nana’s residence in Guri, Gyeonggi Province. Prosecutors state that the intruder threatened Nana’s mother with a weapon while attempting to steal valuables from the home.
Reports previously revealed that Nana and her mother physically confronted the suspect inside the residence and eventually managed to subdue him after a struggle. During the altercation, A sustained injuries and later filed a counterclaim against Nana, accusing her of attempted murder and related offenses.
However, police later concluded that Nana’s actions fell under legitimate self-defense and decided not to pursue any charges against her.
Nana herself appeared in court during a previous hearing held on April 22. According to courtroom reports, the actress directly confronted the defendant during testimony, emotionally asking him, “Is this fun for you? Look me in the eyes properly.”
She also spoke candidly about the psychological impact of the incident, admitting that although she initially believed she had recovered emotionally, the experience ultimately remained as lasting trauma.
The case has continued attracting public attention in South Korea due to both the severity of the break-in and the unusual circumstances surrounding the suspect’s counterclaim against the victim following the incident.
The sentencing hearing for A is currently scheduled to take place on June 4.
