A new fantasy romance drama is officially on the way, with Kim Ji Yeon, Park Seo Ham, Jang Se Hyuk, and Moon Seung You confirmed as the lead cast of Dive Into You.
The upcoming series combines soul-swapping fantasy, time travel, romance, and emotional melodrama. The story follows top actress Yoon Ha Na, whose soul unexpectedly swaps with her twin brother’s after an accident. During the chaos, she is sent back into the past and desperately tries to prevent the death of her first love, Jung Woo Jae, who originally lost his life protecting her.
Kim Ji Yeon will portray Yoon Ha Na, a superstar actress with enormous popularity across Asia. Although outwardly successful and glamorous, the character becomes emotionally driven after returning to the past, risking everything in order to change fate and save the man she loves.
Meanwhile, Park Seo Ham takes on the role of Jung Woo Jae, Ha Na’s first love and emotional anchor. Once a promising judo athlete, Woo Jae is now described as a cold and blunt bodyguard who nevertheless shows unwavering warmth and devotion toward Ha Na. The character appears likely to emphasize Park Seo Ham’s quieter and emotionally restrained acting style, focusing more on loyalty and sincerity than flashy romantic gestures.
Jang Se Hyuk will play Yoon Ha Ru, Ha Na’s twin brother and a national judo athlete. Confident, witty, and highly competitive, Ha Ru unexpectedly finds himself trapped in the past while inhabiting his sister’s body, creating much of the drama’s identity-confusion and comedic chaos.
At the same time, Moon Seung You stars as Son Ye Rang, the CEO of Ha Na’s agency and Ha Ru’s girlfriend. Although Ye Rang is known for her sharp business instincts and strong personality, the character reportedly reveals a much softer emotional side in her personal relationships.
From its premise alone, Dive Into You appears to blend several genres at once: fantasy romance, time-travel melodrama, body-swap comedy, and emotional healing. Compared to lighter romantic comedies, the series seems more focused on themes of regret, destiny, sacrifice, and second chances.
The casting combination has also drawn attention online because each actor brings a noticeably different screen image. Kim Ji Yeon is expected to carry the emotional melodrama side of the story, while Park Seo Ham’s calm visual presence and restrained acting style fit well with the drama’s “protective first love” archetype. Meanwhile, the body-swap storyline involving Jang Se Hyuk could add a more chaotic and comedic layer to balance the emotional tone.
