KBS2’s upcoming thriller romance drama The Completion of Marriage (결혼의 완성) has officially confirmed its premiere date, drawing attention as one of the network’s major summer releases.
On May 14, reports revealed that the series will premiere on July 4 at 9:20 p.m. KST as KBS2’s new Saturday-Sunday mini-series. A KBS representative later confirmed the news, officially announcing the drama’s broadcast schedule.
Starring Namkoong Min, Lee Seol, and Kim Dae Myeung, The Completion of Marriage (결혼의 완성) blends romance and suspense in a story centered around a married couple pushed to the edge of destruction. The plot follows a man who becomes trapped in a desperate battle against a ruthless criminal organization after his wife is kidnapped just before their divorce.

In the drama, Namkoong Min plays a former neurosurgeon who later becomes a hospital director. After his wife disappears, he risks everything in a relentless attempt to save her, setting up an emotionally intense pursuit filled with danger and psychological tension.
Meanwhile, Lee Seol takes on the role of the kidnapped wife, whose disappearance becomes the catalyst for the drama’s central conflict. With both actors known for emotionally restrained yet immersive performances, many viewers are already anticipating strong chemistry between the leads despite the series’ darker tone.
The project is also attracting attention because it marks the return of KBS2’s weekend mini-series format for the first time in roughly five months. The network’s previous weekend mini-series slot had remained empty following the conclusion of To My Beloved Thief earlier this year in February.
Given Namkoong Min’s strong track record in suspense-driven dramas and character-heavy storytelling, expectations for The Completion of Marriage (결혼의완성) are already steadily rising ahead of its summer premiere.
