The upcoming drama “Otto ni Machigai Arimasen” starring Matsushita Nao has announced additional cast members: Sakurai Yuki and Miyazawa Hio have officially joined the lineup. The series features an original screenplay by Okazaki Satoko, known for “Kaseifu no Mitazono,” “Cherry Magic,” and “Nippon Ichi no Saitei Otoko.” The premiere date is set for January 5, 2026.
Synopsis
After her husband suddenly goes missing, Asahi Seiko manages the family’s “Asahi Oden” shop while caring for her two children and mother-in-law. A month later, police inform her that her husband died in a river accident. Based on belongings and physical features, Seiko identifies the body as her husband. However, one year later, the husband who was presumed dead unexpectedly returns. Seiko’s life becomes even more complicated as she faces the consequences of having received insurance money due to misidentifying the body.
