The film Shibire, starring Kitamura Takumi, has released its official poster as it prepares to be featured in the Panorama section of the 76th Berlin International Film Festival on February 15.

The story follows a shy boy named Daichi, who remains quiet and reserved due to the influence of his strict father during childhood. His mother, Aki, works in the entertainment industry to support the family and is rarely at home, making their household life challenging. Eventually, Daichi must stay with his aunt but feels he belongs nowhere. Determined, he returns to his hometown to find his father, setting in motion a series of life-changing events.

Kitamura Takumi plays the adult Daichi, while Enomoto Tsukasa, Kato Anji, and Akimoto Yozuki portray Daichi at three different ages. Other cast members include Miyazawa Rie, Nagase Masatoshi, and Akama Mariko.

Shibire is scheduled for release later this year, offering audiences a heartfelt and profound coming-of-age story.
