The upcoming horror film “Yakin Jiken The Convenience Store”, starring Minami Kotona, has revealed its official trailer. The movie is adapted from the popular horror game created by Chilla’s Art—a franchise widely loved by Gen Z for its immersive, unsettling atmosphere. Live-action gameplay videos on YouTube have already surpassed 60 million views, highlighting the widespread fascination surrounding the title.

The story follows a female university student who works the night shift at a convenience store. What begins as an ordinary late-night job slowly twists into a series of chilling encounters. Strange noises echo through the aisles, inexplicable images appear on the security cameras, and unnerving customers drift in and out of the store. As the abnormal events intensify, she finds herself trapped in a spiral of dread and psychological horror.
Alongside Minami Kotona, the supporting cast includes Seki Tetta (ONE N’ ONLY), Tanaka Shunsuke, Gozu Takeo, Sakamoto Makoto, Tezuka Mai, Yoshioka Yuki, Sakurai Atsuko, Kato Natsuki, and Takezai Terunosuke—forming a lineup that strengthens the film’s suspense-driven world.
Blending familiar elements from the original game with cinematic storytelling, “Yakin Jiken The Convenience Store” aims to elevate the psychological tension and deliver a visceral big-screen horror experience.
The film is set for theatrical release on February 20, 2026, and is expected to be one of the must-watch horror titles of the coming year.
