STARSHIP Entertainment has released an official statement addressing recent rumors surrounding IVE member Jang Won Young and her project titled FOREVER:CHERRY.
Speculation arose after Jang Won Young hinted at the project through FOREVER:CHERRY’s official Instagram account, followed by the discovery of trademark applications filed under her name. This led to assumptions that the artist might be launching a personal business venture.

In response, STARSHIP Entertainment clarified on January 28 that FOREVER:CHERRY is a brand collaboration project and not Jang Won Young’s personal business. According to the agency, the project name strongly reflects the artist’s unique identity and image, which is why an agreement was made with the collaborating brand to register the trademark under her name.
The agency explained that this approach aims to prevent potential misuse or unauthorized commercial exploitation of the artist’s image by third parties once the collaboration concludes. The wide scope of the trademark application was also described as a preemptive measure to protect Jang Won Young’s image across multiple business sectors.
STARSHIP emphasized that the decision was made to preserve the artist’s distinct value while prioritizing her rights and interests, reaffirming its commitment to protecting its artists.
