On January 30, Chinese actress Zhao Lusi attended a Bulgari event in Shanghai as a brand ambassador, drawing significant attention for her fashion appearance. She wore a Spring/Summer 2026 haute couture dress by Norwegian designer label Ronald van der Kemp, a piece that had made its global debut in Paris just three days earlier. The entire process—from international transport to fitting and public appearance—was completed within 72 hours, highlighting the high level of support behind the look.

The event was also attended by Bulgari CEO Jean-Christophe Babin, further underscoring Zhao Lusi’s standing within the brand’s global ambassador lineup. Both the timing of the dress debut and the presence of senior brand leadership reflected the strategic importance of her participation.

Over the past year, Zhao Lusi’s acting activities slowed notably. She temporarily stepped back from work due to health concerns and went through a period of transition involving agency-related issues and a potential move to a new management team. During this time, she had no new screen projects released, leading to widespread speculation about her future plans.

Recently, discussions about her return to acting have resurfaced. Industry reports suggest that Zhao Lusi may be in talks to star in the fantasy historical drama “Bai Yao Pu,” directed by Guo Jingming, with actor Deng Wei also rumored to be involved. While no official confirmation has been made, these reports indicate preparations for a new phase in her career.

From a high-profile global couture debut to emerging news of upcoming projects, Zhao Lusi appears to be gradually re-entering the public spotlight. How she navigates her next steps—balancing commercial visibility with acting choices—will likely shape the direction of her career moving forward.
