The live-action film SAKAMOTO DAYS, adapted from the manga by Yuto Suzuki, has released a new teaser, officially spotlighting Ren Meguro of Snow Man as the lead actor. The film is directed by Yuichi Fukuda, known for his distinctive comedic style in works such as HK: Hentai Kamen, Gintama, Wotakoi: Love Is Hard for Otaku, Saint☆Young Men, New Interpretation of the Three Kingdoms, and Under Ninja.

Supporting Meguro is a notable ensemble cast including Fumiya Takahashi, Aya Ueto, Miyu Yoshimoto, Mayu Yokota, Junki Tozuka, Akihisa Shiono, Keisuke Watanabe, Takumi Kitamura (DISH//), Yusei Yagi (FANTASTICS), and Meru Nukumi, bringing together actors from diverse backgrounds across film, television, and music.
The story centers on Taro Sakamoto, a legendary hitman once feared throughout the criminal underworld. After falling in love with Aoi, a woman working at a convenience store, Sakamoto decides to abandon his violent past. Now married with a daughter named Hana, he lives a quiet life as a middle-aged shop owner. However, his refusal to return to the underworld soon draws danger to his doorstep, forcing him to confront former enemies to protect his family.
Based on the teaser footage, the film aims to blend action with offbeat humor, preserving the contrast that defines the original manga. Ren Meguro’s portrayal of a former assassin balancing domestic life with hidden combat prowess is expected to be one of the film’s central highlights.
SAKAMOTO DAYS is scheduled for theatrical release in Japan on April 29.
