Upcoming romantic comedy Sold Out on You has released new stills spotlighting Chae Won Bin in her role as Dam Ye Jin, a top home shopping host whose success is matched by the pressures of her demanding career.

The drama tells the story of an unexpected romance between Matthew Lee, played by Ahn Hyo Seop, a perfectionist farmer juggling multiple jobs, and Dam Ye Jin, a leading figure in the home shopping industry who struggles with severe insomnia. Set against two contrasting professional worlds, the series builds its narrative around both personal and occupational tension.

In the drama, Dam Ye Jin is introduced as the ace host of Hit Home Shopping, known for her strong communication skills and ability to engage audiences. Her professional achievements are emphasized through her sales performance, reportedly reaching 100 million won per minute and accumulating total sales of 1 trillion won. Behind these figures lies a character defined by discipline and relentless effort, often at the cost of rest and personal well-being.

The newly revealed stills illustrate this duality. In work environments such as offices and logistics sites, Dam Ye Jin appears focused and meticulous, reflecting a precise and controlled approach. However, once on camera, her demeanor shifts immediately—she adopts a warm, approachable expression that resonates with viewers, underscoring the performative aspect of her profession.

Chae Won Bin has noted that the key to portraying the role lies less in technical delivery and more in mindset. She emphasized the importance of authenticity when presenting products, suggesting that genuine belief in what is being sold forms the foundation of Dam Ye Jin’s success. This perspective aligns with the character’s principle of only endorsing items she has personally tested and fully approved.

The role also highlights a point of connection between actor and character. Chae Won Bin remarked that she naturally enjoys recommending products she likes, which helped her approach the performance with a sense of familiarity.

Scheduled to premiere on April 22 at 9 p.m. KST, Sold Out on You is positioned as a character-driven romantic comedy that juxtaposes professional intensity with emotional vulnerability, particularly through Dam Ye Jin’s balancing of expertise and personal limits.
