Chinese actress Zhao Lusi is drawing widespread attention after sharing a series of emotional photos celebrating her best friend’s marriage—sparking an outpouring of congratulations from fans online.
On April 26, Zhao Lusi posted multiple photos on social media taken at a marriage registration office in Chengdu, Sichuan province.
The photos featured actress Wei Xiao, her longtime close friend, as the two shared several affectionate moments together.
In the pictures, the pair leaned close to each other for intimate snapshots, while one particularly viral image showed Zhao Lusi carrying Wei Xiao in her arms in a playful “princess carry,” further highlighting their close friendship.
The photos were taken while Zhao Lusi accompanied Wei Xiao during her marriage registration.
Their friendship reportedly began in 2020 after they worked together on the hit historical romance drama The Romance of Tiger and Rose, widely considered one of Zhao Lusi’s breakout projects.
The two later reunited in the popular 2023 romance drama Hidden Love, further strengthening their friendship both on and off screen.
Their bond became even more meaningful during a difficult period in Zhao Lusi’s life.
In December 2024, the actress reportedly collapsed while filming a drama and temporarily stepped away from work.
During that time, Wei Xiao was said to have canceled all of her own work commitments in order to stay by Zhao Lusi’s side.

Alongside the photos, she wrote, “It’s not that I hope you’ll be happy—you definitely will be happy. Just like you protected me back then, I’ll continue protecting your happiness too.”
The heartfelt post quickly resonated with fans, many of whom praised the actresses’ friendship as deeply genuine.
Wei Xiao later responded publicly, writing, “Thank you for being in my life.”
According to Chinese entertainment media reports, Wei Xiao, who is three years older than Zhao Lusi and is currently 31 years old, reportedly married 34-year-old actor Qiu Yushuo.
