JTBC’s upcoming drama Reborn Rookie has released a new poster, offering a closer look at the tense succession war at the center of the story.
Starring Lee Jun Young, Lee Ju Myoung, Jeon Hye Jin, Jin Goo, and Son Hyun Joo, Reborn Rookie follows Kang Yong Ho, the legendary chairman of the powerful Choi Sung Group, who unexpectedly begins a second life after an accident causes his soul to enter the body of a young soccer player named Hwang Jun Hyun.
After taking over Hwang Jun Hyun’s body, Kang Yong Ho returns to his own company as an ordinary rookie employee. What makes the situation even more complicated is that his own children have no idea who he truly is.

At the company, he reunites with his youngest daughter Kang Bang Geul, played by Lee Ju Myoung, who had previously been sent overseas to study. However, instead of recognizing him as her father, she now sees him only as a fellow employee. Meanwhile, his eldest daughter Kang Jae Kyung, portrayed by Jeon Hye Jin, and eldest son Kang Jae Sung, played by Jin Goo, become his direct supervisors within the company hierarchy.
The newly released poster immediately establishes the drama’s tense atmosphere. Members of the Choi Sung family gather around while each holds a nameplate reading “Chairman Kang Yong Ho,” subtly revealing their hidden ambitions and personal stakes in the family succession battle.
Among the cold and expressionless faces, Hwang Jun Hyun stands out with a faint smile, hinting that Kang Yong Ho may already be planning to disrupt the dangerous game unfolding around him while hiding his true identity.
Each character’s body language also reflects their position within the conflict. Kang Bang Geul partially hides her nameplate while giving a meaningful gaze, suggesting caution and uncertainty. Kang Jae Kyung openly displays hers, emphasizing her unapologetic ambition and strong personality. In contrast, Kang Jae Sung leans comfortably back in his chair, carrying the confidence of someone who already sees himself near the center of power.
The poster’s tagline — “There is only one position, a fierce battle begins” — further foreshadows the brutal internal war waiting to erupt within the Choi Sung family.
What makes Reborn Rookie particularly intriguing is the clash of perspectives between the characters. Kang Yong Ho now views his own children as rivals fighting for control of the company, while his children see him merely as a suspicious young newcomer interfering in their plans.
With its blend of fantasy, corporate power struggles, family tension, and identity concealment, the drama is already drawing attention for its unusual setup and layered character dynamics.
Reborn Rookie is scheduled to premiere on May 30 at 10:40 p.m. KST.
