Actress Song Hye Kyo recently offered a glimpse into her enduring friendship with Lee Jin, a former member of the iconic girl group Fin.K.L, highlighting a bond that has lasted for more than 30 years. The moment, shared through a casual social media update, quickly drew attention for its warmth and authenticity.

On March 27, Song Hye Kyo posted a series of photos captioned “These days,” including snapshots from a birthday celebration for Lee Jin. In the images, Song Hye Kyo is seen smiling brightly in front of a cake, making a playful “V” sign, and posing closely with Lee Jin. The natural and relaxed atmosphere of the photos reflects a friendship that has remained steady over time, untouched by the changes of their respective careers.

The connection between Song Hye Kyo and Lee Jin dates back to their school days at EunKwang Girls’ High School, where they were known alongside actress Han Hye Jin as the “top three beauties” of their campus. Since the late 1990s, Song Hye Kyo and Lee Jin have maintained a close relationship, occasionally sharing moments of their friendship with the public. A photo released last November, showing the two leaning their heads together, had already drawn widespread attention for its sincerity, and this recent update further reinforces the longevity of their bond.

Lee Jin debuted in 1998 as part of Fin.K.L, one of South Korea’s most influential first-generation girl groups, before transitioning into acting. She later married a non-celebrity in 2016. Meanwhile, Song Hye Kyo, who debuted in 1996, rose to prominence through a series of widely recognized dramas, including Autumn in My Heart, Worlds Within, and The Glory. Over the years, Song Hye Kyo has continued to maintain a strong presence in the industry while also preserving meaningful personal relationships such as the one she shares with Lee Jin.

Looking ahead, Song Hye Kyo is set to star in the upcoming Netflix series Tantara, a project that explores the South Korean entertainment industry from the 1960s to the 1980s. As she continues to expand her acting portfolio, moments like this serve as a reminder that beyond her professional achievements, Song Hye Kyo’s long-standing friendships remain an important and enduring part of her life.
