The upcoming short-form drama WIND UP has unveiled new character posters, offering an early glimpse into a story about youth, setbacks, and unexpected connections.

WIND UP is a coming-of-age sports drama that centers on Woo Jin (played by Jeno), a high school baseball pitcher who suddenly finds himself unable to throw a strike due to psychological pressure. Just as he begins to lose his sense of direction, Tae Hee (played by Jaemin), a bright and cheerful transfer student, enters his life and casually declares himself Woo Jin’s manager. Directed by Kim Sung Ho—known for Move to Heaven and Bad Prosecutor—the drama promises a restrained yet emotionally resonant portrayal of growth and friendship.

In the newly released posters, Jeno fully embodies Woo Jin’s inner turmoil. Dressed in his baseball uniform, he gazes into the distance with a firm yet conflicted expression. The caption, “I’m a pitcher who can’t throw a strike,” succinctly captures the weight carried by a former middle school MVP now trapped in a prolonged slump, hinting at the emotional battle that defines his character.

Jaemin’s poster, by contrast, brings a refreshing sense of lightness. As Tae Hee, he appears relaxed and approachable, accompanied by the playful line, “Don’t you need a manager?” The phrase subtly marks the moment he steps into Woo Jin’s life, signaling the beginning of a relationship that will evolve through encouragement, trust, and shared experiences.

Rather than focusing solely on competition or victory, WIND UP places its emphasis on the emotional journey of its characters. It explores how a young athlete confronts failure, and how companionship can quietly become a turning point in reclaiming confidence and purpose.

WIND UP is set to premiere on January 16 at 6 p.m. KST.
