tvN has officially confirmed the leading cast for its upcoming drama 100 Days of Lies. Announced on March 6, the production will feature a strong lineup including Kim You Jung, Park Jinyoung, Kim Hyun Joo, Lee Moo Saeng, and Jin Sun Kyu, raising anticipation for the historical spy romance set during a turbulent chapter in Korean history.
Directed by Yoo In Shik, known for his work on Extraordinary Attorney Woo and the Dr. Romantic series, 100 Days of Lies unfolds during the Japanese occupation of Korea. The story centers on a dangerous romance that develops amid espionage and political intrigue. At the heart of the narrative is Gyeongseong’s most skilled pickpocket who becomes an undercover spy for the independence movement, and the adopted son of the Inspector-General of Korea, a high-ranking official under the Japanese Government-General.

In 100 Days of Lies, Kim You Jung takes on the role of Lee Ga Kyung, the most renowned pickpocket in Gyeongseong. Determined to save enough money to fulfill her lifelong dream of moving to America, Lee Ga Kyung is suddenly presented with an offer she cannot refuse. She is tasked with infiltrating the Japanese Government-General of Korea for 100 days by posing as an interpreter, a mission that draws her into the dangerous world of espionage and resistance.
Park Jinyoung portrays Kim Tae Woong, an elite interpreter newly appointed to serve the Japanese Government-General of Korea. As the adopted son of the Inspector-General, he is also known by the name Sato Hideo. Fluent in English, Japanese, and Korean, Kim Tae Woong returns to Korea during a period when Japan is seeking to reinforce propaganda supporting its rule over the country. His position places him at the center of the political tension depicted in 100 Days of Lies.
Veteran actress Kim Hyun Joo will play Yoo So Ran, a sharpshooter working for the independence movement who harbors a deep desire for revenge against Sato Shinichi. After spending a decade away from Korea, Yoo So Ran returns under a new identity, posing as a Chinese woman who is married to Yoo Philip. As part of a carefully planned plot to eliminate Sato Shinichi, she approaches Lee Ga Kyung with a proposal that could determine both of their fates.
Lee Moo Saeng appears as Yoo Philip, a correspondent in Gyeongseong for an American news outlet. As a Korean-American member of the independence movement, he uses his position as a journalist to influence the Inspector-General of Korea and advance the movement’s objectives. Meanwhile, Jin Sun Kyu takes on the role of Sato Shinichi, the newly appointed Inspector-General of Korea and the father of Sato Hideo. Ambitious and relentless in his pursuit of power, Sato Shinichi becomes the primary target of the independence movement.
With its compelling historical backdrop and a cast of acclaimed performers, 100 Days of Lies is already drawing attention ahead of its release. The drama is currently scheduled to premiere in the second half of 2026, with Kim You Jung and Park Jinyoung leading a story that blends romance, espionage, and political conflict.
