The historical drama *The Killing of a Hundred Flowers* recently wrapped filming at Hengdian World Studios. Starring Meng Ziyi and He Yu, the series is adapted from Jin Huang’s novel *After My Flowers Bloom, I Kill the Hundred Flowers*, published under the Qidian platform of Yuewen Group. The show consists of 36 episodes and will be available on Tencent Video.

The story follows Gu Qingzhi, the sole survivor of a massacre, who awakens as Shen Xihe, the Northwest Princess. From a proud and flamboyant frontier rose, she transforms into a cold and calculating Duchess of Luosha. Having endured trials of power struggles and life-or-death challenges, she vows to take control of her own destiny. Crown Prince Xiao Huayong, though frail and suffering from chronic illness, hides sharp intelligence and insight into the court’s affairs. Amidst the ever-shifting palace intrigues and political landscape, the two grow close and join forces, shaping their shared fate.

The drama is directed by Zhong Qing with Guo Feng as co-director. The cast also features special appearances by Xu Zhengxi, alongside main cast members Fan Shuaqi and Lai Weiming, as well as notable roles played by Lin Ziye and Dong Zifan.

The title *The Killing of a Hundred Flowers* itself symbolizes the duality of the protagonist’s fate—both as one of many flowers and the center of a storm. With filming completed, the production moves into post-production, and audiences eagerly await the release of this gripping story of rebirth, obsession, love, and power.
