The popular romantic comedy series Yumi’s Cells is officially returning with its third season. On March 4, reports emerged that Yumi’s Cells 3 would premiere on April 13 via TVING before airing as a Monday–Tuesday drama on tvN. Shortly after, a representative from tvN confirmed that the new season will be pre-released on TVING on the afternoon of April 13 and subsequently broadcast on the network.

Based on the hit webtoon of the same name, Yumi’s Cells 3 continues the unique storytelling approach that made the franchise a standout. The drama follows the life of ordinary office worker Yumi, portrayed by Kim Go Eun, through the lively perspectives of the many brain cells inside her head that govern her thoughts, emotions, and actions. This creative narrative device has been central to the charm and relatability of the series.

In its upcoming installment, Yumi’s Cells 3 charts a new chapter in Yumi’s journey. After years of dedication and perseverance, she transforms from an everyday employee into a successful star author. As a romance novelist who wins the hearts of countless readers, Yumi appears to have achieved professional fulfillment. Yet despite her career accomplishments, love remains the most complicated puzzle in her life. Her once-bustling “cell village” enters a lull, reflecting a period of emotional stagnation—until the arrival of Soon Rok, played by Kim Jae Won. His presence is expected to bring fresh energy and a meaningful shift to Yumi’s world.

With its established fan base and distinctive blend of live-action and animated elements, Yumi’s Cells 3 is poised to build on the momentum of previous seasons. The drama will follow the conclusion of “Siren’s Kiss,” starring Park Min Young, Wi Ha Joon, and Kim Jung Hyun, adding further anticipation to its spring lineup debut.

As Yumi’s Cells 3 prepares for its April 13 release, viewers can look forward to another heartfelt exploration of growth, ambition, and the ever-evolving complexities of love.
