Introduction to Air Canada’s Expanded Connectivity

Air Canada has taken significant steps to improve international travel by expanding its air-to-rail connections in Europe and introducing this service in Asia. With the integration of multi-modal transport options, passengers can now enjoy seamless connections to dozens of destinations across four new countries.

Multi-Modal Transport Services in Europe

This expansion sees Air Canada extending its intermodal travel service, which was first launched in December 2023, to include Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, and South Korea. With partnerships established with accessrail, travelers can book their rail and bus connections together with their flights, ensuring a hassle-free experience. Key destinations accessible include Florence, Madrid, and London, enhancing travel convenience across Europe.

Innovative Rail Options Introduced in Asia

For the first time, Air Canada is catering to passengers traveling to Asia by offering robust rail connections upon arrival in South Korea. Passengers can now easily transition from air travel to high-speed rail system, accessing cities like Busan and Ulsan. This initiative reflects Air Canada’s commitment to providing convenient travel solutions and underscores their strategy for international expansion.

With these developments, Air Canada offers an enriched travel experience, facilitating not only enhanced connectivity but also promoting sustainable travel options. As Mark Galardo, executive vice president of revenue and network planning at Air Canada, observes, this integrated approach allows travelers greater choice and flexibility in their journeys.
