Korean DJ SODA recently shared an emotional statement on social media, opening up about years of appearance-related criticism she has faced online. According to her post, she noticed that many of the comments targeting her looks were written in Chinese and appeared predominantly in discussions linked to Taiwan, a realization she described as deeply upsetting.

DJ SODA clarified that she does not believe all people in Taiwan share the same attitude. However, after reviewing the comments she encountered, she found that harsh remarks about her appearance were largely concentrated in those spaces. She pointed out that under news articles about her, conversations often revolved solely around how her face looks, sometimes using mocking or dismissive language. She expressed frustration that, despite never judging others by their appearance, she continues to receive such criticism.

She also addressed content from a specific fan page that openly questioned whether her appearance had changed, drawing comparisons to other entertainers and suggesting that some artists present altered images online. DJ SODA responded that differences in lighting and angles naturally affect how photos appear and emphasized that she has not made any changes to her face over the years. She questioned why people who once praised her beauty now claim she has changed and use the same face as a basis for ridicule.

In her message, DJ SODA stressed that her request is simple: to be treated with basic human respect. She added that she has always held positive feelings toward Taiwan and has participated in events there out of genuine appreciation for her fans. However, she noted that supportive messages have become increasingly rare in recent years, while critical comments about her appearance—many of which she says come from Taiwan—have become more prominent.

Following her post, numerous readers left messages of encouragement, urging her to ignore malicious remarks and continue to be confident in who she is.
