JTBC’s upcoming remake of the British drama Gold Digger has expanded its cast lineup with the addition of Cha Hak Yeon and Kim Ji Eun.
On April 23, the production team officially confirmed that both actors will appear in the series, where they will portray siblings.
A Korean Adaptation of the British Series
The upcoming drama is a Korean remake of the British television series Gold Digger.
The story centers on a successful middle-aged woman whose life is disrupted after she becomes involved with a younger man whose true intentions remain unclear.
As their relationship deepens, she begins questioning whether his feelings are genuine love—or part of a larger deception.
The series is expected to focus heavily on emotional tension, mistrust, and psychological conflict as both characters continue doubting each other’s motives.

Kim Hee Ae and Noh Sang Hyun Lead the Drama
Previously, Kim Hee Ae was confirmed to lead the drama as Min Young Joo, the CEO of a publishing company.
Noh Sang Hyun will star opposite her as Jung Jae Hee, a freelance designer who becomes romantically involved with her.
Their unconventional romance has already drawn attention due to the age-gap relationship at the center of the story.
New Family Dynamics
Cha Hak Yeon and Kim Ji Eun will play Min Young Joo’s son and daughter.
Their sibling dynamic is expected to introduce additional emotional conflict and family tension as their mother becomes involved in a complicated new relationship.
With its psychological themes and strong cast lineup, the Korean adaptation of Gold Digger is shaping up to be one of JTBC’s more intriguing upcoming dramas.
