Actor and singer Im Si Wan is gearing up for his long-anticipated solo debut, joining forces with SM Entertainment for his first solo album.
According to JTBC Entertainment News on October 13, Im Si Wan is currently in the final stages of preparing his solo record with SM Entertainment, aiming for release later this year. The agency will also be managing his future music activities, marking a new chapter in his career.

An SM Entertainment representative confirmed, “One of our subsidiary labels is producing Im Si Wan’s solo album, and we are currently coordinating the release schedule and details.”
After parting ways with his former agency in August, Im Si Wan began working independently on his album project. It is said that he decided to collaborate with SM Entertainment following encouragement from senior artist Kangta, and that he placed great trust in SM’s long-standing expertise in producing leading idol acts such as TVXQ, Girls’ Generation, NCT, aespa, and RIIZE.
This upcoming release will be Im Si Wan’s first official solo album, following years of participating in drama soundtracks and special collaborations. The project signifies his return to the music scene under his own name, nearly eight years after ZE:A’s group hiatus in 2017.
Debuting as a member of ZE:A in 2010 alongside Park Hyung Sik, Hwang Kwang Hee, and Kim Dong Jun, Im Si Wan has since built a solid reputation as an actor through numerous acclaimed roles. Now, he’s ready to reconnect with fans through music once more.
In a recent interview promoting his Netflix film The Mantis, where he appeared with striking bleached hair, Im Si Wan shared, “I’ve never given up on being a singer,” expressing his passion and determination to continue his musical journey.
His solo debut with SM Entertainment is expected to mark not only a return to his roots but also a fresh artistic beginning for the versatile performer.
