THE BOYZ member Eric has been diagnosed with a knee injury after getting hurt during the opening night of the group’s INTER-ZECTION concert in Seoul.
On April 25, concert production company The Bright World released an official statement regarding Eric’s condition. The idol later reposted the announcement on his personal X account, directly updating fans about the situation.
According to the company, Eric sustained the injury during the group’s concert the night before. Despite completing the performance, he immediately underwent medical evaluation after the show ended.
He first received an MRI scan and emergency treatment following the concert before returning to the hospital the next day for a more detailed review of his test results.
Doctors ultimately diagnosed him with knee cartilage damage along with a partial tear of his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), a significant injury that often requires extensive rest and rehabilitation depending on severity.
Medical professionals reportedly advised Eric to avoid excessive physical activity and dancing for the time being, stressing the need for proper recovery.
Despite the diagnosis, Eric reportedly expressed a strong desire to continue performing for fans attending the second night of the concert.
However, organizers stated that his long-term health and safety remained their top priority.
As a result, Eric will still participate in the group’s April 25 concert, but he will perform seated during select songs in order to minimize further strain on his injury.
In their statement, The Bright World acknowledged that fans may feel disappointed by the adjusted performance format but asked for understanding given the circumstances.
The company also emphasized that they will continue supporting Eric throughout his treatment and recovery process to ensure he can safely return to future activities.
The incident has sparked concern among fans, particularly as THE BOYZ is currently in the middle of major concert activities. Many supporters have already flooded social media with messages wishing Eric a full and speedy recovery.
For now, attention remains on his health, with fans hoping the injury will heal properly before it impacts future promotions.
