Yumi’s Cells 3 is turning up the romantic tension as the drama heads into its second half, with newly released stills teasing a heated confrontation between Kim Jae Won and Choi Daniel over Kim Go Eun’s character.
Based on the hit webtoon of the same name, Yumi’s Cells follows the everyday life and love journey of Yumi, played by Kim Go Eun, through the perspective of the many adorable brain cells that control her thoughts, emotions, and decisions.
Season 3 introduced Kim Jae Won as Soon Rok, Yumi’s new love interest and an editorial producer at Julie Publishing.

Until now, Yumi’s romantic storyline has been filled with uncertainty.
In previous episodes, Yumi found herself frustrated by Soon Rok’s emotionally distant behavior. Unlike Ju Ho, played by Choi Daniel, who openly approached her and showed clear interest, Soon Rok remained guarded and difficult to read.
However, cracks in his emotional walls have slowly begun to appear.
When Dae Yong, portrayed by Jeon Suk Ho, commented that Yumi and Ju Ho seemed like a good match, Soon Rok unexpectedly reacted by saying, “I don’t think they look that good together.”
The moment immediately raised questions about his true feelings.
Soon Rok also surprised Yumi by suggesting they watch a movie together—an unusual move for someone known for preferring to stay home.
Now, newly released stills suggest things are about to get far more complicated.
The photos show Yumi caught in the middle of an unexpected physical altercation between Soon Rok and Ju Ho.

Yumi appears visibly shocked as she watches the two men fight, with both of them looking disheveled as tensions spiral out of control.
Ju Ho is seen expressing clear anger toward Soon Rok, while Soon Rok responds with an equally intense stare.
Adding even more chaos to the situation, Dae Yong appears desperate as he tries to physically hold Ju Ho back and stop the confrontation from escalating further.
The dramatic images have left viewers wondering what exactly triggered the fight between the two men.
According to the production team, Episodes 5 and 6 will mark a major emotional turning point for Soon Rok.
The producers teased that Soon Rok—who has always lived by strict personal principles—will begin experiencing major changes after meeting Yumi.
They also hinted that viewers will see both Yumi and Soon Rok becoming more honest about their feelings, promising plenty of heart-fluttering moments in the upcoming episodes.
As Yumi’s Cells 3 moves deeper into Yumi’s evolving love story, the battle between Kim Jae Won and Choi Daniel may signal that her romantic future is about to become even more unpredictable.
Episodes 5 and 6 will be released on April 27.
